What we keep, and how to ask us to delete it.
This page says plainly what we collect when you test an idea, build a business with us, or write to us, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to delete it.
What we collect
- The idea and the answers you give us when you test it — only if you tick the box offering to save them. If you build a business with us, we also keep its name and the plan documents made from your idea and answers, with your account.
- Counts, timings and categories, such as how many questions were asked, the result and the kind of business, every time, whether or not you tick the box.
- Your name, email address and a password hash, once you create an account.
- A scrambled form of your network address, never the address itself, used only to tell ordinary use from abuse.
Who else sees it
- The AI model providers we use, and the service that sends them our requests. We only use them on terms that say they will not keep or learn from what you write.
- A web search service, which sees one short line about your idea with anything that looks like a name, email address, phone number or link taken out.
- A bot-check and network-protection service, which sees your network address and your browser so it can tell a person from a script.
- The company that hosts the computers our service runs on.
How long we keep it
- Conversations: 12 months.
- Accounts: until you ask us to delete them.
- Counts, such as how many questions were asked: 24 months.
- Backups: a little longer than the periods above, until they age out on their own schedule.
How to delete it
Write to us and ask us to forget your account. We'll delete your account, the business you built with us, and the conversation behind it.
Testing an idea doesn't ask for your name, so if you tested others and ticked the box, tell us roughly when and what, and we'll find and delete those too.
We check every launch page by hand before it goes public.
